Abstract

Julie Allard is a Consultant Forensic Scientist at the London laboratory of the Forensic Science Service. She has over 35 years’ experience as a forensic scientist, reporting biological evidence types such as body fluids, DNA, blood patterns and crime scenes. Throughout her career she has been particularly involved in the analysis of sexual assault findings and has authored or coauthored several papers on the subject. She also has a keen interest in the application of the case assessment and interpretation model. She is currently a National Scientific Lead for the organisation, advising on casework, standards, quality and training matters in relation to body fluids.
