Abstract

Claude Roux is Professor of Forensic Science and the founding Director of the Centre for Forensic Science at the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. He obtained a BSc and a PhD in forensic science from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. He has 19 years’ experience in providing forensic expertise, training and research. His areas of activities and interests cover a broad spectrum of forensic science and include chemical criminalistics, finger mark detection, questioned documents, forensic education and training and management. Claude is an Editorial Board member for Forensic Science International and Science and Justice. He is also involved in a number of scientific and advisory groups in Australia and overseas. His service as Chair of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Forensic Science Educators and Researchers is of particular relevance for the current contribution.
