This chapter explores in a detailed yet accessible way the different logics of grounding that have been proposed in recent years. Logically, the notion of grounding can be formalized in three different ways: as an operator, as a predicate, or as a metalinguistic relation. The structure of the chapter follows this tripartite distinction and aims at evaluating the virtues of each approach.
