Abstract

Since the turn of this decade, the view of many aviation industry stakeholders at different fora is that Africa remains the next frontier for aviation and aerospace development. Africa presently has a population of about 1.3 billion people with a median age of 19.4 years, the largest number of young people among the regions of the world (Worldometers, 2019) and the fastest growing population of middle-class in the world (Pandey, 2018). This may suggest that there is a bright future for air transportation on the continent, with skilled workers playing a central role towards delivering efficient service that would bring about high socioeconomic effects in Africa.
