Abstract

The use of digital and computer-mediated communications in the era of The Web has created a profound paradox for corporations and organisations. The evolution of the internet and the rapid increase in broadband availability around the world, on the one hand, have placed powerful and efficient tools for communication in the hands of corporate enterprises. On the other, the rich connectivity and transparency of internet-based communications media have created unforeseen challenges for these same corporations.
