Abstract

* Authors’ note: This chapter was accepted for publication in January 2016, when the election of President Donald Trump and the appointment of Betsy DeVos to head the Department of Education were nearly unthinkable. We have made only minor changes, although, amid the larger context of attacking Obama-era policies, DeVos rewrote federal Title IX guidelines, enraging many young feminists. For more discussion of the lessons second-wave feminisms contribute to thinking about current challenges, see Blum and Mickey (2018). For their many insights, we wish to thank the WOASH members who contributed to this project.
