Abstract

Cultural preferences, tastes, and lifestyles have been among the most popular concepts in the sociology of consumption in the past decades, giving rise to several theoretical, contextual, and methodological questions, the most recent of which are discussed in this chapter. Since the chapter discusses both cultural consumption and cultural lifestyles, I will first clarify the difference between the two terms.
