Abstract

Have you ever been interrupted during a meeting? Has a coworker ever doubted your judgment on something over which you had responsibility? Although these behaviors may seem insignificant, they are examples of workplace incivility. Other examples of uncivil behaviors include: withholding information, ignoring or excluding someone, putting someone down, or addressing a coworker in unprofessional terms (Cortina, Kabat-Farr, Leskinen, Huerta, & Magley, 2013; Cortina, Magley, Williams, & Langhout, 2001; Pearson & Porath, 2009).
