Abstract

Early attachment is critical to the development of each individual, particularly in the relationship between a mother and her infant child, as it influences the entirety of each individual’s life. In the work that follows, I will examine the early parental relationships of two nine-year-old boys, whom I will call Jason and Derek, and how Sandplay helped to restructure their wounded beginnings, providing them with the possibility for better outcomes in life.
