Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to speculate upon the evolutionary path of hotel sales approximately five to ten years into the future. Three questions will be asked and, hopefully adequately, answered: (1) What is the current situation in hotel sales? (2) What are the disrupting forces that are propelling change in today’s salesforce? and (3) What does the intermediate five to ten-year future possibly look like for sales?
