Abstract

In the media, the importance of sponsorship is often mentioned in quantitative terms. Moreover, certain published figures have a dramatic character. While in 1990 global investments were around 5.5 billion euros, the amount of invested expenses reached 57.5 billion US dollars in 2015 (IEG, 2015). Activities related to the sporting industry represent approximately 70% of the total sums.
