Abstract

The 21st century has brought with it profound changes, with global changes being of particular concern to the hotel industry. Globalization has led to changes in the competitive strategies of hospitality industries. Mergers and Acquisitions (M&As) are widely used as strategic management tools for growth in the hospitality industry as they are an ideal way for businesses to achieve their goals. However, as the integration involved in an M&A is a difficult process, it is essential to determine whether growth is sustainable and to reveal the humanitarian as well as the financial aspect of this process. This study discusses the importance of M&As as a stable growth tool in hospitality businesses.
