Abstract

It is clear that technology is becoming more important as a teaching and learning tool both at home and in our schools. Classrooms today look and feel very differently from the classrooms of 30 years ago, primarily because of the increased use of technology. Our students are more proficient than ever before in using technology to search for information, to answer questions of interest, and to find out about other people’s ideas and opinions about various topics. It is no surprise that many students find technologically mediated reading and writing to be highly motivating and engaging.
