Abstract

Univision and Telemundo have been competing for the Latino market for many years, and both have consolidated their relative positions within Hispanic audiences in the United States. According to Univision (2008a), the network reaches 99 percent of Spanish-speaking audiences, and Telemundo 93 percent (NBC Universal, 2008).
