Abstract

Journalism education is seen as improving the quality of journalism by improving the quality of journalists. It is perceived as the “one way in which society can intervene to influence the development of journalism” (Curran, 2005, p. xiv). In other words, the kind of education future journalists receive matters because journalists matter among the many factors that make up journalism.
