Abstract

Opening chapters in volumes such as this often begin by recounting how early criminology failed to consider women and gender; this has been well and truly problematized by others before us. We have chosen instead to reflect on developments that, in our opinion, have come to occupy a lofty place in contemporary feminist scholarship and others which deserve more attention than they have received to date. ²
