Abstract

Germany has one of the most competitive grocery markets in the western hemisphere, because food is very low-priced. How can a CSA-oriented project like the Kartoffelkombinat be en vogue while other consumers cover their nutritional needs in the cheapest possible way? Which aspects need to be taken into consideration, when it comes to setting up a local food supply structure? Is this an idea limited to Munich or could it be replicated anywhere a community desires an unconventional diet and unconventional grocery shopping?
