Abstract

Depression, Stress and fatigue can damage sexuality profoundly and masked depression and tension states are frequently involved in the etiology of sexual dysfunctions. When a patient is severely depressed, sex is the furthest thing from his mind. Even moderately depressed patients lose interest in pursuing sexual activity and are very difficult to seduce and arouse. Similar considerations apply to both men and women who have been under chronic and relentless fatigue and stress such as involved in active combat or the emotional crises attending difficult divorces, job loss, criminal and legal proceedings, etc.
