Abstract

Communication apprehension (CA) is the fear or anxiety associated with communicating. It has been shown to be a potential problem for the accounting profession. Many accounting students exhibit high levels of CA. Consequently the accountants of the future may be deficient in a key skill, communicating, that has been identified as necessary for them to be successful in their chosen careers. This has major implications for students and the accounting profession.
