Abstract

Other chapters in this Handbook examine the regional human rights systems individually as well as the roles of the UN treaty bodies in the promotion and protection of human rights. 1 1

See Chs 2226 and Ch. 37.

The purpose of this chapter is not to duplicate those efforts, but to address the interaction between these institutions and whether it strengthens or weakens the unity of international human rights law.
