Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to link workforce diversity and inclusion (D&I) initiatives to human resource development (HRD). The narrative highlights the evolution of diversity management and identifies best practices for D&I. The best practices are drawn from the literature, as well as each author’s 25 years of conducting research and providing organization development (OD) assessment, consulting, training, facilitation, and coaching services in support of D&I initiatives.
