Mark Weiser stated in 1991 that the most profound technologies are those that disappear, the ones that ‘weave themselves into the fabric of everyday life until they are indistinguishable from it’ (Weiser, 1991). However, although ICT is slowly permeating all aspects of our lives, technology has certainly not ‘weaved itself into the fabric of everyday’ learning.
