Abstract

Various imaging modalities such as ultrasound (US), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), positron emission tomography (PET), and single-photon emission CT (SPECT) have been used for imaging of biological tissues (Manyak et al. 2006, 2007). The introduction of new imaging modalities may also provide enhanced accuracy for illness tissue localization and significant promise for improved diagnosis.
