Abstract

HV testing and measurements are essential to evaluate the adequacy of power equipment to meet their design specifications and hence their performance requirements on the transmission and distribution system of the utility. This, in turn, implies that adequate means are available to produce the specified dielectric stresses, which can far exceed the operating level of the power system, and perform accurate measurements to assess the performances of the equipment tested.
