Abstract

Research on photodynamic therapy (PDT) dosimetry has been going on for more than three decades, and a lot is still going on (Wilson and Patterson 2008). Nevertheless, in clinical PDT or in preclinical experimentation, light dosimetry is still not commonly embraced. The main reason for this may be that photomedicine is a multidisciplinary field, and the high levels of physics, mathematics, and optical technology are not easily accessible to all the disciplines involved in PDT.
