Abstract

We will present a philosophy for sensitivity analysis that has been set forward in pioneering work by James Robins, Andrea Rotnitzky and Daniel Scharfstein and that will lead us to the use of semi-parametric methods. We will then lay out a principled strategy for conducting semi-parametric sensitivity analyses for missing data. This will be illustrated in the analysis of a randomized clinical trial, on the basis of which we will compare quality-of-life between different chemotherapy regimes in premenopausal women with breast cancer.
