Abstract

Signal denoising is one of the classical problems in the area of signal processing. Noise models can be categorized as additive and multiplicative. Most denoising problems fall under the former category, so we will concentrate more on that. In our context, “noise” means random perturbations. Any type of structured artefacts will not be considered as noise; for example, we will consider problems such as inpainting as denoising problems.
