Abstract

A proportion of treatment effect is defined as a putative surrogate endpoint as a measure of ascertaining the magnitude of the causal pathway accounted for by the treatment effect on the surrogate biomarker. This entry focuses on the impact of the proportion treatment effect has on determining surrogate endpoint biomarkers.
