Abstract

Hypotheses and False Positive Rate in Active Control Non-Inferiority Trials. The hypotheses in non-inferiority trials involve two unknown parameters. Statistical inferences on non-inferiority hypotheses, ideally, should be based on randomized data collected in the current trial. This entry reviews some of the ethical issues in active control non-inferiority trials and presents statistical models for performing this type of trial.
