Data Center Networks (DCNs) may use some interconnection topologies that have their origins from computer architecture, but they have been adapted to communicate data packets between a large number of servers and other data center equipment. With the emergence of software-based networking, new architectures have been recently proposed. This chapter reviews some of these networks.
