Abstract

Disparate stakeholder values, the second wicked problem component, is resolved by aligning the sustainability activities of the stakeholders. As discussed in Chapter 4, a variety of activities are conducted independently with mixed and unaccountable results. Since no one entity is able to dictate order and process in complex social systems, an alignment of stakeholders must occur somewhat organically and emerge from the interaction of participating stakeholders.
