Abstract

Fly ash (FA) can have a high dielectric constant, generating scientific and technological interest because of its use as an energy material in capacitor fabrication. This work reviews the literature studies of dielectric properties of FA–polymer composites, with dielectric measurements performed as a function of frequency and temperature. In the literature, the dielectric constant of FA–polymer composites was found (a) to improve compared to that of pure polymer, (b) to decrease with increasing frequency and (c) to increase with increasing temperature. These results are of greater scientific and technological interest for capacitor fabrication.
