Abstract

There is no doubt that radiofrequency (RF) energy is hazardous to humans at some level of exposure and that limits to exposure are needed for workers and ordinary citizens. Harm from exposure to RF energy may occur directly, through direct action on the body, or indirectly by interaction of RF energy with other objects or systems in the environment (for example, by causing interference to an implanted medical device that results in harm to the patient).
