Abstract

Over the past few decades, researchers have successfully developed thermoelectric (TE) materials exhibiting exceptionally high peak figure of merit, ZT.1–6 While such reports suggest a potential for further improved power generation at higher temperatures, some of the underlying problems limiting the commercialization of TE devices still remain unresolved in the literature. This chapter attempts to address such problems and present some viable solutions.
