Abstract

Advances in digital printing have enabled print on demand to support major changes in book publishing and distribution. The ability to print small numbers of titles only when needed by consumers has allowed a huge increase in content to be made easily available in the marketplace. Print on demand has also impacted other areas especially art and artist book publishing as well as music publishing.
