Abstract

Chemical exposure from pesticides has been connected worldwide with increased risk not only of acute poisoning, but also in recent decades regarding long-term occupational exposure with increased risk of chronic diseases such as cancer. Pesticides are designed to destroy or control living organisms, yet they constitute a potential health hazard for organisms other than those that are intended to be controlled.
