Abstract

Biofertilizers include microorganisms and their metabolites that are capable of enhancing soil fertility, crop growth, or yield. Biofertilizers will become an increasingly important area of research and development. Biofertilizers provide an alternative to agricultural chemicals as more sustainable and ecologically sound practices to increase crop productivity.
